A warm welcome to Bolenowe Animal Sanctuary.

Since becoming a registered charity in 1987, we have been dedicated to rescuing neglected, abandoned and vulnerable animals. Founded by Margaret Piper, the sanctuary has grown into a Charitable Incorporated Organisation on The Lizard in Cornwall, where we now care for more than 70 animals, both at the sanctuary and in carefully monitored new homes.

Every animal has its own story. Many arrive having suffered neglect, illness or hardship, but with the dedication of our experienced team, they receive the expert care, rehabilitation and kindness they need to recover and thrive. Where possible, we prepare them for loving new homes.

Although we’ve faced many challenges over the years, our commitment to animal welfare has never changed. Every rescue and successful rehoming is only possible thanks to the generosity of our supporters.
